Giving Thanks

Just wanted to take a moment from gaming on this Thanksgiving day and offer my thanks for everything I have. Too often in this world we look over what we have looking only at what we want, lord knows I'm guilty of that. In light of that I would like to say "Thanks" to my family who give unconditionally, my friends who are always there for me, and God for all that He has given me. Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving.

Beginnings

Ok, so one of my non-gaming hobbies is computer repair/building. I love it, probably cause I don't have anyone but myself to answer to if it screws up or doesn't work. Anyway. My mom, knowing what a genius I am ask me to put a system together for her. I got most of the parts in today and will get the rest tomorrow. I plan on putting together a how-to on this just because. For now just enjoy the pretty pic of some new shiny parts.

Anticipation

I really hate it when I get worked up about something then the final product just doesn't deliver. I've had this happen quite a few times and I've gotten pretty good about not letting it happen again. Well, I guess no ones perfect as I'm letting it happen now with the new "Green Hornet" movie. I've spent the last few years watching this movie go from stage to stage in progression, only to have hope dashed against the rocks with it's untimely demise. I have to confess I love this franchise. It's not the most popular, but it's something kinda near and dear to me since my dad is the one who got me into watching it with re-runs of the old T.V. show. Speaking of which, SyFy has been running a marathon of it all day today and it's really getting me ready for the movie. Sure it's campy as hell and the effects are horrible, but Bruce Lee is bloody awesome and Van Williams makes a very convincing hero. So yeah, I'm letting this one build up on me and hoping that Hollywood doesn't see fit to destroy me once again, I'm looking at you "Wolverine Origins" I'll have a review up after I see it on Friday, I'm planning on taking a quick trip down south just so I can watch it with Dad on friday night, then come back up for World of Darkness on saturday. It's a hell of a waste of gas and pretty damn taxing on me, but I get to watch it with the man that introduced it to me and that's worth quite a bit.

FunDave out.
